Thanks I downloaded and sending out to a few buddies

Wow the GS in Coupe and Verts are 51% of the market, taking away lots of Z06 sales, I would say the GS is a huge hit for GM

Thanks for posting Dave!

I looked over the presentation and what they have provided is a little bit truncated over what they actually presented but it does hit the high points for those that couldn't attend. Some of the "fill in the detail" slides are missing from what they actually presented at the event.

I too would like to echo what Jim had to say. You are truly one of the best and we appreciate having you around the forum.

Thanks for all you do!

Paul

Some things I noticed.

1) Z06 has the "X" pipe from the ZR1 instead of the current "H" pipe.

2) Weight of the Carbon Z06 is the same as the current Z06. No weight reduction as some have stated(150 # to 200# in posts).

3) The battery tender plug has pin type connectors instead of blades. I wonder if there is a second cord(not shown) that is used from the pin plug that will fit the standard American duplex receptacle.

The addition of the Z07 package adds 19lbs in equipment from the ZR1(3lbs for F55, 10lbs for the larger wheels, 4lbs for the larger tires and 2lbs for the carbon rockers) which matches the 19lbs saved with other parts replaced with carbon (11.5lbs for carbon fiber hood and 7.5lbs for the ceramic brakes).

There's a very good reason. When changing tires the entire suspension would have to be re-tuned. Since the F55 was a new suspension was new on the Grand Sport, it already had to be re-tuned so they put the tires on that suspension only.

Are they re-tuning the suspension on the Z06's? What would happen if I installed the GEN2 tires on my 09 Z06 that has the 1st generation tires? Is it necessary to retune the Z06's suspention if I installed Michelin tires? Did they re-tune the 2011 Z06 Carbon edition's suspension as it has the wheels and Michelin tires from the ZR?

How did they re-tune the suspension? Did they change the shocks or springs or A-arm bushings?

i guess i still don't see why then the auto would not get the new tires as well since all new vettes can receive the f55 susp now.

Dave, is the F55 offered on the GS the same as the magnetic ride control used on the ZR1 or do they have different tuning?
