Default 295 / 35 /19 tires with 285 / 35 /19 tires SAFE?

Is running 295 / 35 / 19 on one side and the other 285 / 35 /19 safe?
Will affect the rear end or trans? I have an 08 A6.
They would run for a 1 week or 2.

If you are talking about having one size on one side of the rear and the other size on the opposite side I would vote NO. The speed sensors would confuse the computer by showing different speeds Left and Right while you were driving straight. The computer would try to compensate (maybe by applying the brake on one side?) + you would have constant wear on the limited slip clutches.
