Default air brush on stock hood liner

can paint brush be done on factory hood liner?

i'm thinking about painting the Corvette emeblem on the hood liner

I did the C5's with paint markers....

But if you first don't primer the liner, the liner will absorb the paint and you will need to do many coats just to see it.

Tape off the flag section of the liner and use about half a can of charcoal grill flat black to form a solid base for the paint to lay on. If you don't the paint will just soak into the porus liner any you will have a mess. I have also sealed the back side to make sure the surface is solid to paint.
