Default The best present a father can get

For Christmas, my son gave me a Gift Certificate for him to wash, clay bar, wax, and vacuum my Vette. Today he came by and spent a few hours detailing my Vette....what a great gift! Thank you son!

Pic of my son and My freshly detailed Vette....

Too bad my boys do not care to detail their cars.
I do it if it gets done.

Gave my son my wife's 2005 Outback and bought her a new 2012 Outback. Told him how to take care of it and game him an entire Adam's kit to do so. He just came home from college for the holidays and the car looks like crap! He says he has no time to do any cleaning and re-gifted the Adam's kit to me!

Seems I have failed...

Come on, the kid's in College, you know he doesn't have any time for car maintenance. Maybe you should hire him a personal assistant to attend to such duties.

I bought my son a brand new car 6 months ago, and he washed it for the first time today (at my suggestion). I wouldn't let him touch my Corvette.

Sounds like it worked out great for you, though!

Default Another great gift

My son and daughter gave me a one day gift certificate to the Bob Bondurant School of Performance Driving here in Phoenix, last May as a birthday present. I did the one day "Z06 Experience" and fell in love with the Corvette and 2 months ago bought my first one, a really nice 2012 red coupe 3LT.

Some of us are blessed with great kids.

For sure. I wish I were so lucky. Two out of three for me.

My youngest is in college, every time he comes home for break, I look at the car we let him drive and its a mess, the thing looks like he lives in it....hmmmm what is he doing with the rent money? LOL all in all I wouldn't trade him for anyone else.

You have a great son there, and looks like he knows how do detail a car. Awesome
