C6 Kick Down on Automatic Trans?
Ok heres the question...How do I disable the kick down on my 05 C6 Automatic. The problem is on the track when I roll into the throttle to load up the rear of the car in the corners if it shifts down she'll just spin out and also through the "S" corners up to about 50 mph if it downshifts it'll spin. Just wondering if theres a way to disable the kick down and shift down manually if needed? Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

When I was doing track weekends in our C5 with the similar transmission, I just used the selector to put the tranny in the proper gear while i was braking, just before entering the corner.
The manual downshift would lurch a little, but not bad if I did it while braking and the car had slowed down. I would not do a manual downshift if it would force the engine to go above 4,000 rpm.
Most road courses would be run in just 2 and 3, very seldom needed 1 or 4.
Keep an eye on your tranny temp, mine was acceptable but i had a big extra cooler on it.
