I have narrowed my choice for shocks to either BILSTIEN HD'S or EDELBROCK IAS performance.Does anyone have the edelbrock's? I have read alot on the forum on the bilstiens but havn't seen much about the edelbrock's. I can get the edelbrock's for about $40.00 more than the bilstien's. Any input would be appreciated. thanks

I have heard good feedback on the bilstiens , I however am running the Koni FSD's , which are similar to the IAS Edelbrocks. I have heard only good reviews on the IAS shocks as well. The IAS or the FSD's are probably a more compliant shock as they are low pressure shocks. OEM shocks are high pressure gas, not sure about the Bilstiens. Regardless of your choice , you will see an improvement over your OEM shocks, IMHO.

Actually, the Edel. IAS has been around for various Corvettes for quite some time. However, the Bilsteins were designed for the C6, so I doubt if you will go wrong with them. The Konis are a good alternative, but more expensive.
Hi, Thanks for the input. I was going to buy Koni's,but none available and if you order there is a 3 to 4 week wait.Which would be ok,except I have seen the price of them go to $770.00 and awhile back they were selling for $570.00. I guess supply and demand rule the price. One vender had them for around $640.00.I called to order and he was on back order and was only going to get 3 sets(which he has already sold).
I agree, almost any shock you choose will be superior to the OEM shocks. Someone did an analysis on the OEM shocks. They are incredibly cheap (under $20).
I installed Bilstein Sports and am very happy. One of the reasons I considered Bilsteins is my C4 came with optional Bilsteins, so they have a long standing relationship with Corvette.
Most Edelbrock products are outstanding and I am sure they make a great shock.
