replaced MAF and plugs. still very bad hesitation and the motor will not spin above 4500 rpms. Any ideas? Maybe because i replace the MAF after the plugs, the car ran lean or rich and fouled the plugs again?

Didn't read all this but your car runs just like my C5 did with a bad o2 sensor. Any codes?

If you get in too deep, take your car to England Green and let them get it sorted. They do very good work and are quite reasonable.

Would miss really bad and had missfire codes and 02 codes. I had an 02 sensor touching my headers. The thing that sucked is I replaced them and didn't think it fixed it. Then after spending more money I found the 02 sensor fuse was blown. I also had replaced MAF. Do you think you could have damaged the 02 sensor with all the extra exhaust smoke?

Hi,
I put seafoam in my crankcase, gas tank, and poured it in my intake down my MAF housing. Now i am getting codes for air fuel ratio, mulitiple misfire and the it flashes at high rpms.
The car also cannot rev above 5k rpms. It starts really hesitate around 4k rpms.
Did i mess up the MAF, foul some plugs, blew my motor, or is the normal for seafoam after use????

Should have ask the forum on this first!

just an idea here.. did you disconnect the battery before you cleaned the MAF ? might help to re-zero the air flow memory.

Seafoam is liquid magic!!!!! I use it in every engine, Audi FSI, LS1, Mercedes, Japanese engines. Works good in the fuel line, but amazing directly into the intake. I've never used it in the engine, which could be abit tricky since you'll have to keep changing the oil filter to get all the sludge out.
Did I mention how good this stuff works.

I used Seafoam in my 1997 GMC pickup with a 5.7L V8. When it had probably 90,000 miles on the engine, I added it when I filled up with a tank of gas. Before too long, it began spewing black stuff out the exhaust and it fouled up my O2 sensors. It ran very rough/misfired/stumbled until I replaced those sensors. One I had to replace twice until it got all of that stuff out of its system.
Not going to do it again.

I never heard of Seafoam until about a year ago....go to YouTube and see all these guys smoking the hell out of their cars putting that stuff in every hole the car has. I've never used it, but sure seems a bit like a "cure all" snake oil. Good luck in getting your car running right again.

I use Seafoam once a year on my Yamaha 2 stroke outboard. It really does decarb the motor and clean it out. But, I always clean the O2 sensor and change the plugs AFTER using it. It frees up all of the carbon and deposits which in turn foul the plugs and O2 sensor.

Some of you guys are making me nervous. I used SeaFoam for a fuel stabilizer last fall, 1 ounce per gallon.
