Chrome Centercaps in Polished Gumbys?
I'm going to buy a set of polished (not chrome) Gumby wheels. These will come without centercaps.
The stock centercaps for polished Gumbys are a semi-dull gray, look more like they belong on a painted wheel.
Has anyone tried using the chrome centercaps from chrome Gumbys in the polished wheels? I presume they would fit. Hopefully, they would be a better match, but I don't want centercaps that are brighter than the rest of the wheel, or that start to peel after a while.
Or if you have the dull centercaps in your polished Gumbys and think they look good, let me know!

The center caps on my polished wheels are closer to chrome than paint. One thing for sure. You can do it and run the chrome caps, or no caps until you decide. Or, try each on from another car.

I have an 09 JSB Coupe. It came with the painted stock OEM wheels. The center pieces are flat grey with the Corvette Flags. I bought the ZR1 chrome wheels and they came with the plain chrome center piece. I elected to continue to still use the painted stock oem center caps. I like em and several people have commented that the center caps seems to accentuate the chrome wheel. Sorry, but I dont have any photos to show you. I did some looking into and was told the center pieces are all the same size. Good Luck...

I have a set of polished gumbys that are from an 08. The center caps match pretty good, they do not look painted. I would think either cap would look good

I purchased a set of polished Gumby's for my 07, and they came with the factory grey center caps. They did not look bad, but I ordered a set of chrome center caps and I think they look better. The chromes are a little too bright, but I find them more appealing than the grey. That said, if they had not made chrome ones, I would have been okay with the grey. Choices are great.
