Convertible Top Adjustments
Is there a simple fix for the top rubbing on the toneau cover when opening and closing the top?

Top Adjustments
I had to get the dealership to replace the pistons that raise the waterfall cover. After they replaced them, they did not rub again.....SO FAR!!!!

I had the same rubbing problem , and today the dealrship fixed it under warranty. I believe it was just some adjustments, not replacing anything. There appears to be a bulletin out on this problem.
here is what the repair order said
" 1st bow hitting top latch, Operate top, found first bow hitting tonneau latch, check for bulletins, found 09-08-67-013A Adjust tonneau cover to clear latch assembly. After adjust, operate top several times, OK "
I tested it before I left the dealers lot, and it was OK

This is one of the reasons I like the manual top....just one less item to have a problem!

1st bow hitting tonneau is different than 5th bow hitting. 5th bow is the one next to the rear glass, 1st bow is the one that sits on top of the windshield. We need to clarify what we are talking about here...

I've read here that this is not a power vs manual issue. It can happen with manual top also.

On my 2010 vert with manual top I must apply upward pressure by hand to the tonneau in order to allow the 1st top bow to clear the tonneau latch.

I'm betting that you have the passenger seat back all the way. Move it forward about an inch and your problem will be resolved.

I'm willing to try that, but what does the seat position have to do with power top movement or interference?
Thanks.

Had the same problem on my 2013 427 vert. Simple adjustment done at the dealership under warranty.

Nothing about the C6 convertible top is simple. Take it to the dealer.

Exactly what Cranky said. Tonneau cover is hitting the bottom of the rear glass when it is in the process of folding or unfolding.

I noticed this on mine as well. No idea as to how to make adjustments to fix the problem with the mechanism. My "mickeymouse" solution is to reached back to pull the top forward before the tonneau cover closes/opens.
