AUTUMN ROAD TRIP - Lot's of Pics
This past weekend me, the wife and a group of friends from the Corvette Club of RI headed north to the White Mountains of NH in search of a good time.
Nothing beats a scenic drive in a world class sports car.
Long twisty roads, no traffic, great scenery...............what's not to like.
We made our home base in North Conway and treated ourselves to dinner at the White Mountain Resort at the base of Cathedral and White Horse Ledge.
Saturday morning we set out on a long drive north past Mt Washington towards the Canadian border, our destination The Balsams, a five star all inclusive resort in Dixville Notch. We received a warm welcome from the staff and were given a secluded spot to park our Vettes. We enjoyed a buffet lunch in their world class dinning room. After lunch we toured the facility and grounds.
Later that afternoon we began our trek back to North Conway on a different route that would take us along the back side of Mt Washington, Bretton Woods Ski area and the Mt Washington Grand Hotel.
It was a fantastic drive to make in a Vette and the beautiful views were endless.
Here are a few pics that were taken along the way.
First a couple of the GS
Woodstock at the entrance to the Kangamagus Highway
My lovely wife Donna and her friend Kay
The group at the top of the Kangamangus Pass
The view from my friends C5
Waving to the North Conway scenic railroad train.
The Drive up to The Balsams
What we saw when we arrived there
Check out the colors on the last two pics.
Hope you all enjoyed it, thanks for checkin' it out.

Wow.. Gorgeous! Nothin' better than a Vette road trip with a bunch of your buddies...
We're going to Eureka Springs Corvette Weekend tomorrow, so hopefully we'll see some of the same kind of twisty roads and beautiful scenery.

Peak season up there is usually over by the first week of October.
With the warm weather they have been getting, hopefully it will be extended.
Here's to a great trip.

Beautiful area!
I always thought that area had the best fall scenery in the USA.
Can't believe the leaves are already changing out there. We just hit 105F today.
