Default Help brake pads squeaking

I purchased drilled slotted brake rotors and hawk performance brake pads for my 2005 corvette and now that I have installed them they are squeaking really bad when im coming to a stop. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of them squeaking. Please help. Thanks.

Assuming that the installation was okay - - but did you "bed" them through the heat cycle process ?

Go to the Hawk website and it will explain it in detail, I would do this process ASAP before I drove the car, this should really help your noise problem.

Here I just went and copyed it for you.

1.After installing new brake pads, make 6 to 10 stops from approximately 30-35 mph applying moderate pressure.
2.Make an additional 2 to 3 hard stops from approximately 40 to 45 mph.
3.DO NOT DRAG BRAKES!
4.Allow 15 minutes for brake system to cool down.
5.After step 4 your new pads are ready for use

Go to a large parking lot or a street where you have some room and perform this process should help.

You need to say which model of brake pad you put on your car. If you have HPS pads, those shouldn't squeal when installed and bedded properly. If you went to something like the HP+ pads, then you can expect them to squeal because they're a more aggressive pad.
