Default Battery Issues

Hey guys just wanted to know if anyone ever had problems with their driver side door/window not going up when you shut the car off and then over time it drains the battery? Its only happening on the driver side window, it doesn’t go up into the door when you close the door. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Your windows may need to be re-indexed by doing the following:

(Be sure to re-index both windows.)

Usually a dead battery or battery disconnect. Sometimes they just do, no known explanation.

I guess it's possible a corroded switch in the outside door pad could drain the battery -- especially if the FOB is nearby. This corrosion might also explain the indexing problem.

To clean the switch: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...-pads-too.html

Or just replace it... I believe a new switchpad is only about $12.

IMO, maintenance of this switch is essential as any C6 gets older. And if you haven't cleaned the hatch/trunk button on your 05, it probably needs it too: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...-pictures.html
