I thought Mag Red was discontinued. The 50th Anniversary. And, we get Mag Red III. :( It should have been GOLD!  I wonder how much extra Mag Red III will cost. :( :( I can actually get some sleep at night now, knowing I made the right decision not to wait for the '03 Anniversary model. :) :)

Rear taillights?
What's with the rear taillights? They are hideous! Please tell me these are not standard equipment on the non-50th cars, particularly the Z06. I don't like them - they look tacked on.

FYI:
Above is a Euro export C5 with the legally required amber turn signal lights, the wide license plate opening which requires moving the backup lights to the inner tail lights and the large, legally required rectangular rear fog lights. The fog lights are constant bright intensity lights that are turned on in foggy conditions. There are also amber repeater lights on the front fenders behind the front wheels as well as amber rear side marker lights.
Export cars sent to countries not in Europe have variations on these lights.

:mad Sorry guys...I'm a little disappointed...From some of the post's I thought it was going to be a totally unique interior..color change only...but you get a Mag Red rendition and Z06 calipers, and some badging... :cry :cry :cry Still missin my totaled C5, enjoying my Trans AM Convertible while waiting for Anniversary or C6 and now the pic's confirm it....
What happened to the sneak peek C6 suspension ?? Why not at least a unique wheel ????
C6 !!!!!!!!!!!!!! That TA will make a great second car someday !!!!

Re: Rear taillights? (Sanctuary)
Thank goodness! I was hoping that was the case, but had never seen the rear of an export C5. Thanks for posting that pic as well. Don't scare me like that, Monica! :)

Guess which colour code is not listed as a colour? That's right the anniversary car has a special paint code called 94U. Yet there is no colour that matches anything red in the existing colour listing:
Exterior colors:
12U Quicksilver Metallic
21U Electron Blue Metallic
40U Speedway White
70U Torch Red
79U Millennium Yellow (extra cost)
82U Star Black Metallic
88U Spiral Gray Metallic
So I guess this may just be an early anniversary car as claimed. I seem to recall the export market gets some things quicker than the domestic. One thing to think about, also: There may be a tacky dealer installed sticker kit to come :cry
