Strange! He must have crawled in from the back of the lens assembly some way. the lens does not come off with out heating the assembly and separating the lens from the body. What you may be able to do is to remove the assembly and the lights from the back side and use a vacuum of something to extract the little bugger. Maybe others will have a suggestion.

Had that happen to my 2006 Z. Tried going in the backside from the wheel well and made a tube to blow it out and/or vacuum it out. Neither way worked. Just blew it around a little. Ultimate solution ... ditched the 2006Z and got a 2011Z in same color
I thought I could remove one of the small lenses from HeadLamp Assy so as to fish out this dead bug....
I have no idea how it got there ???
Any helpful suggestions ???

Can either lense be removed from assy from "backside"?? (Doesnt appear so)
The boot on the back side of the headlight assembly that covers the bulb sockets probably fell off. I found mine were off on both sides when I replaced my stock high beam bulbs and explained why the inside of my headlights were starting to look a bit dusty.
I have a small white moth in my headlight assembly. It shows up very nicely against the black background. As someone that is slightly OCD about things, it is starting to cause me a bit of stress.
A couple of weeks ago I found a live wasp in one of my headlights. Found that one of the bulb covers was off so that must be how it got in there. I gained access through the wheel well and found that there is a small gap around the chrome ring of the headlight lenses. I was able to feed a 1/2 inch clear flexible tube through the gap into the headlight, I used some extra tubing that attaches to the condensation pump for my AC unit from Home Depot. Problem was that I could only get the tube to basically go up from where it when in. You might be able to get a tube in from the top and make it go along the inside of the cover to where the bug is and then suck it out with the tube on a shop vac hose. I tried the vacuum with the tube near the wasp but couldn't get enough suction.
This will not help you, but I left the tube in the headlight and put some sugar water in the tube and watched this wasp climb all around for several days. It finally climbed down into the tube and I removed the tube, along with the wasp, and took it outside and let it go. Figured we had been through enough I wasn't going to just kill it.
Good luck getting the bug out. I searched the forum and didn't find any secret method that was of any use. That wasp was driving me crazy and the last thing I wanted was to have a dead bug in the headlight, I can be a little OCD myself. Be careful putting anything like double sided tape in the headlight or you might end up with a dead bug and tape stuck to the headlight lens.

Thats what I tried. Since the bee was dead in mine I couldn't entice it out.
After a while it started to decay and became less noticeable.
I have had to remove bugs and other things from landing light nacelles on aircraft. We use AR15 gas system cleaners, think long flexible pipe cleaners. You can put some 3m double sided tape on the end and feed into the object and slowly drag it to the exit. The tape and pipe cleaner can actually move some interesting odd objects. Rocks with oily fluids on them are the hardest.
Chuck, this it the picture I pm'd you about. I didn't take any pics when I was dealing with my bug, guess I should have.
Go in thru the wheel well to where the bulbs are. I took out the inside most bulb toward the center or the car. The gap is where I highlighted in red. It runs around the lens inside the chrome trim ring of both lights, but not the turn signal light. If you go in from the bottom, a tube will go up. Maybe if you can go in from the top of the gap you can get a tube to go down and forward depending where the bug is. You will have to snake a tube up through the bulb hole. If you can get a large enough flexible tube near the bug then you can tape it to a shop vac hose with duct tape and maybe get enough suction to get it out. I have also read of people blowing compressed air in and trying to blow the bug into the gap of one of the lights and down into the guts of the headlight, out of sight out of mind. I was able to find a few posts about bugs on the forum but not much info.
If you remove the entire headlight assembly from the car it will be pretty easy to get it out, but removing the headlight will take some work. The other option would be to attache a small hose to your vacuum cleaner and remove the bulb and snake it in through the bulb opening.
If you look at my pics (Inferno Orange) you can see bug was at very front inside of lamp. I took a piece of 1/16" TIG welding rod and bent 90 degree "hook" on end. Then added a small piece of strip chalk (just enough to make sticky) Inserted rod from back and coming UNDER lamp to front edge opening....I turned the sticky "hook" up and snagged the bug and then was able to pull it back under lamp (where it remains).......................
I did remove bulbs and read all the comments above. I'd love to SEE pics of hose/tube routing thru the small opening around lense, etc.........I DONT BELIEVE any suction hose could have reached/removed the green bug in my above picture.
