Ha ha, exactly what I was thinking.

Go to an auto store and pick up a gauge that you like.

Actually the most accurate gauges are those with a Burdon tube inside. The pencil gauges are more rugged tho but one has to calibrate them versus a more accurate gauge. The tire pressure monitors are not accurate.

I've had two digital gauges. Probably pretty cheap. One was from Sears, the other might have been from some Corvette catalogue, with Corvette painted on it.

On both of these, when the initial batteries became discharged, I replaced the batteries with the same as was in there.

And neither gauge would work.

I tested the new batteries for voltage and they test ok.

The first just refused to display anything. The second still displays the Low Battery indicator. Are these things throw-away and don't try to install new batteries?
Yup, and as you said, it got tossed! I figured it was just my great luck.

Most pencil types are very accurate that cost less than 10 dollars.. just as accurate as the fancier dial types and etc.
I really could not agree more.

Hey, it's real for me! I have several gauges, some expensive and some cheap. They are not very consistent with one another. I never know which one to trust.

It ain't rocket science. The wifey bought me one at Sears and it works great. Matches the DIC exactly so either they're both off or both right on. I've checked it with another digital and it matches.

Check your pressures frequently - outside temps make a big difference. What was good in April may not be good today.

I have one of those. Takes 10 bucks worth of batteries though, when they give out! (2025x2)

I use four different gauges. Expensive to cheap. They all read significantly different. Couple lbs. I average them all out, then pump in enough air to hit the average. Of course, since none agree, I have to start the whole process over again to find the new average.

Takes me a couple hours per tire, but I feel confident I am properly inflated...

Okay... Seriously. I've found the old technology gauges work as well if not better than the digital stuff.

I probably have 10 left over pencil gauges, some of them really cheaply made with plastic barrels. Everyone say GAG ,or agh. or whate4ver else.

But the mostly metal ones are very accurate compared to the dial gauges I've run them against and the electronic readout ones that I use accutire electronic or some such. I decided to store them in a sock (cleaned first, of course..).
The sock .................... ? Or the gauges

Wolfdogs,

What type/brand of toilet paper would you recommend for home use for someone who has a high fiber diet and lives close to sea level? I don't wear depends or eat any foods containing Oleastra, but I do want to keep the sphincter properly functioning and I check it frequently.
