Grand sport weight

Curb weight (lb / kg):
3311 / 1502 (Grand Sport Coupe)
3289 / 1492 (Grand Sport Convertible)
I have yet to see any official weights posted for the various option packages, so we can either assume the weights published are "worse case" meaning 4LT or "best case" meaning 1LT.

On the C5's the vert only weighed around 6 pounds more then the coupe. The weight shown might be for a dry sump coupe vs a wet sump vert. The dry sump does weigh more more then the wet sump. Oil, tank, lines, heat exchanger all add up.

Interesting....On my door sticker (2011 GS Coupe, A6, F55):
GVWR = 3814 (as I understand it: The GVWR includes the net weight of the vehicle, plus the weight of passengers, fuel, cargo and any additional accessories.).
Subtracting the curb weight from above of 3311 pounds leaves 503 pounds of payload.
I'm a fairly big guy (6' 2", 255lbs.), so I'm left with 248 lbs for passenger, luggage and fuel.
Let's say 15 Gals at 6lbs/Gal = 90 lbs of fuel. So now I'm at: 158 lbs left.
Add in the wife (she's tall, and slender....not overweight by any stretch of the imagination)....and we're down to like a duffel bag with underwear for luggage!

Bump.
Has anyone ever figured out the different weights of the GS Coupe with the different trims? Is the 3311lb number for a 1LT or 4LT? Auto or Manual w/ Dry Sump? I want to figure out what my car weighs with the weight saving mods I've done... headers, seats, rotors etc. It's a manual 2LT

Burning Brakes
I have a 2011 GS 1lt conv, m6 ordered bone stock, so no power top or NNP saving weight right off the bat. The conv is a wet sump LS3 .I planed on changing exhaust and a few things myself. My cars weight is 3,209 lb. In 2011 goodyear gen 2 tires were standard, I think they are few pounds less than gen 1 on the 2010's…For comparison my friends 2011 GS vert. 4lt , NPP, F55,Chrome rims weighs in at 3,381. Hope this helps.

Then you are not guessing....
EDIT - I have an even easier one for you. I just called a local interstate weigh station, and they will do any car for free, no hassles. Just follow the tractor trailers into an open weigh station, and get your weight checked. Just remember to deduct your weight, plus any cargo from the total.

Le Mans Master
Dry Sump: +25 pounds (extra oil, oil tank, hoses, bracketry, etc. weight gain is over the std wet sump)
Rear battery: +9 pounds (battery bracket, extra lengths of heavy battery cabling)
(GS convertible has neither the dry sump nor the rear battery)
Right there is 34 pounds additional weight that the GS coupe carries over the GS convertible.
Since the published weight difference between the coupe and convertible is only about 22 pounds (3311 GS coupe, 3289 GS vert, according to the GM published figures in 2011), it would seem to indicate that the weight difference between the coupe's glass hatch/roof panel and the convertible's top/folding mechanism, trunk lid and hinges -- is probably a wash or even *slightly* in favor of the coupe.

Most truck stops, moving companies and even waste hauling stations will weigh your car for you. They may charge you $5, but that is how I have weighed vehicles in the past. Their scales are certified, then you know for sure
