It's not bad to shift since I hold the same as I do in the aircraft. I don't think I would use it at the track(when I get to that point). The only thing I have to figure is a more solid mount for it. It has a little wiggle that bugs me.
That's why I haven't decided if I'll leave it on as yet. But it's a great conversation follower when people comment on the car.

I went with the "8 Ball" after I went to a short shifter on my 05. But it buzzed at high RPMs. I drove it that way for a month or two and then decided to try the original **** to see if it made any difference. The buzz was eliminated. It was then that I realized how beautiful the original shifter fit my hand and how easy it made shifting compared to a simple ball. After that experience I think all the mods I've seen here would be less ergonomic than the original shifter. GM spent a lot of time to make it fit your hand, why go to less comfortable shifter?
