Default gm card incentives

I sold my 2008 back in June and I am now thinking about buying a 2010 model. I was speaking to my dad about it and he said he has money to redeem on his GM card that I could use. Does anyone know what the current redemption is on a 2010 model? I could only find 2011 on the website. Also, is the redemption money transferrable from father to son?

Thanks.

Have you and your dad shop around at different dealer's, present what you've got, and chances are they've got something in stock wanting to move out. If needed, include both name's on the original tile, and have your dad sign off later. You picked the right time of year, as most are wanting product off the book's. My dad picked up his current Buick V8 Lucern this way, and honored all his GM card point's plus lot's of other rebate's. Happy shopping.

My certificate says $3,000 in bonus earnings towards the purchase of a 2010 or 2011 Corvette. It expires January 3.

Just have your dad add your name to his GM card and then you can use the points. A firend of mine just did this for his son on a new GM purchase.

I gave $2,000 from my GM card to my father-in-law when he bought an 08 Cadillac and the dealer just deducted that amount from my card's points with no problem.

Does that mean all you want is my address so you can mail it to me???!!!! Just kidding.

Thanks all for the help and the responses. Sounds like I do have some options.

My brother donated points to my Dad. That was old GM but I think family members can still donate to each other. Bottom line is that GM wants to sell cars.
