Black Halo????
Ok so I'm starting to not like the separation between my top and back windshield. I'm thinking about making my halo black to match the top and the tints on the windows. I don't want to paint the car though, I want to be able to go back to stock if I choose to. I heard that you can wrap it in a black vinyl. Has anyone done this, any idea what kind of vinyl I should be looking for. An help would be appreciated as always. Thanks guys. I hope everyone has a great new year!!!!!!

Wrapping is becoming more and more common. The halo would be an easy job and probably inexpensive. Do an internet search Im sure youll find someone local to your area doing it. For example, I saw an ad today "skinzwraps.com", check it out.

Buy a different halo from the auction site, paint it and just swap them out. That's what I did. My oem halo is hanging in the garage if I get the urge to swap back ( which I highly doubt I ever will ). Vinyl is nice but it will never be as durable as paint nor shine after a good detail like paint does. Get the price for the vinyl and just keep in mind that you can do what I did for around $200.

wrapping is easiest and best way. And they warranty it against fading cracking etc. It also peels off if you don't want it later. Only time I've seen problems with it is in extreme sun and heat long-term exposure will cause fading. I don't think we need to worry about that in BK though
Let me know what you decide and how much.

When winter turns to summer I'm going to buy a Halo and paint it black and keep the stock one should I ever decide to go back. I've got to do som research on how hard it is to swap them out but I don't think there would be much too it.

Think I'm going to go with the wrap for the main reason that I don't want to mess around with any seals or rubber that I hear is located around the area. Heat it on and if I don't like it heat it off. But I'm still wondering what kind if vinyl I should buy and from where.
