Where do you keep the spare clicker?
I leave mine hanging in a secure place in the garage so that if I need to get into the car after piddling around I don't have to go into the house to get the fob to unlock the doors.
So far 1 month and 1,200 miles and its the only reason I look forward to going to work. The smile is still strong.
PS: I clay bared the car last saturday. OMG what a difference. I read what others had posted and never believed it until I did it myself. Of cause I followed up with a good wax afterwards and again the next day just for good measure.

I keep the spare FOB in the house, when the Vette is in the garage it is always unlocked so I have no need for the FOB.
That smile on your face will never go away as long as you own your Vette. Enjoy it.

In my desk drawer in my home office. The fob I use all the time hangs on the side of a file cabinet in that same office. Don't have a garage, so my car stays locked all the time I'm not in it.

My #2 fob is kept with all my other spare keys/fobs in a box inside a large gun safe in my office. I park the Vette in the garage and my doors are NOT set to lock automagically. In 5+ years I've only needed the spare fob once. Resetting TPS's I left the keys on the console after putting it in learn mode...when I shut the driver's door learn mode ended and my doors locked on me. Again, the autolock feature is not enabled. Now when reset TPS's I keep the fob with me and leave the driver's door open.

In one of the kitchen island drawers with the other spare
sets of keys. There is a color coded piece of tape on the
back of each one that correspond with the color of the vehicle.
Silver for the Vette, blue for the truck and black for the Rabbit.
This way I can lean in the kitchen door from the garage and
tell my wife 'what color' keys I need vs what make without
taking off my shoes or tracking crud in. Her spare
keys have all the extra grocery store cards attached.

In a baggie in my wife's purse. I remove the battery and keep it in the baggie as well.
'08+ FOBS use power to send out a small signal so the BCM can detect if your FOB is present. With the batteries removed, hers will far outlast mine.
Sadly, until March, both FOBs are pretty useless
