Hi:

My review mirror in my Z06 (2016 with 3600 miles) has streaks inside it. It almost looks like it's liquid crystal and went bad. Has anyone out there heard of this happening on the 2016's? FYI, it's the frame-less review with On Star accessibility on it.

I don't have a C7 but I do have a 2007 3LT convertible with the auto dimming feature that is filled with an LCD ferro fluid. You can get an idea of what it looks like when it goes bad by looking at the mirror in my car (wife driving top down in November). The image in the mirror was off color and had a visible patch where it looked bad. prepare to be punished with the Corvette tax as a new mirror insert cost an arm and a leg and in the off chance you needed the whole mirror assembly bend over and grab your ankles.

Thanks for your insight. Thankfully I'm still in the warranty period so I should be able to get it replaced at no cost. Whew!
