Top Gear test drive of ZR-1
Be sure and check out this test by these Brits. They were blown away by the ZR-1 and a couple other American cars but mostly the ZR-1

I like the difference between this thread and the other one about Top Gear. The OP here sees it as the Brits liking the ZR1...in the other thread here:

the OP wants to drop kick Jeremy Clarkson......and these are both about the same Top Gear episode! My take was that they had a great time when they came to the USA to do it and they were unusually complimentary towards all three cars...
If I were stuck driving around England all the time, having a chance to drive in the US would be a real treat.

The Brits obviously are partial to British cars, as we are to American cars.
Dont expect them to come out and say "Wow, why would anyone buy a Lotus or Austin Martin when they could get a Corvette!".
In general they appreciate what the Corvette has to offer, but are going to prefer something that was made on home soil and thus will exaggerate areas they feel they can exploit ( in this case the suspension technology ).

Saw a cool show on Speed Channel this Saturday, they Had Jimmy Johnson and a few other drivers testing the ZR1, Z06 and GS. Well, I should not say "testing", they were more just driving the cars and turing a few fun laps.

A couple other good Vette episodes on Top Gear is when Jeremy accelerates the Z06 from 0-about 160ish in only 5th gear on their runway and when the ZR1 went up against the R8 V10 (ZR1 beat it by almost two seconds on their track with the stig at the wheel of both cars). Jeremy said the R8 was the better car and you have to be "bonkers" to buy a ZR1 but in the end he said he would buy the ZR1 over the R8.
