I used to do a lot of cleaning under the hood of my previous car (Grand Prix). It seemed like every other week I'd open the hood and it would be covered with dirt and dust. I've had the Vette for a little over 6 months and have never done any cleaning under the hood so I thought I'd go out there this afternoon and give it a good detail job. Open it up and there's nothing to do. No dust no dirt, just clean. Hell, the desk in my office has more dust and dirt on it.

It's not a DD since I work at home. But anytime the wife and I go anywhere together we take the Vette now instead of her Volvo. I've only put about 1100 miles on it since I've had. I want to drive it as much as possible but I just don't have many places I need to go. We do cruise up and down the LV strip a lot more than we used to though.

I drove up to the Corvette C5/C6 Bash in Bowling Green from Greensboro mostly in heavy rain. The car was filthy - the engine was still clean......
