I have another idea of what this switch is for. It could be for the "isimple" witch is and ipod or iphone unit for your stock radio. They do come with a switch to turn it on and off. So if you can find some sort of connecting cord for an ipod that would be the switch to activate that cord.

Ok - Got NAV disks. Switch is apparently not NAV related. Also, there is no iPod connection present in the car. No front plate, although Texas does require one. No NPP, no NO2. Thought about it possibly having a Frost computer that holds 2 tunes, but I must investigate that. Looks like I'll be pulling the console. It'll be a few weeks, but I will keep you guys informed. Thanks for all the suggestions.

We can't wait for 2 weeks, you need to go do it right now and let us know. This is worse than a prime time soap opera that makes you wait for the new season to find out who shot JR.........................
Call the guy you bought the car from and ask what the switch does. I am assuming it was a private party and not a dealer. If it was a dealer, try to find a name on a document in the glove box and then call him. What have to know.

C'mon Man, really! If I had access to the previous owner I would not be asking my forum buddies.
That being said, I tracked down and called the previous owner. Really nice guy that traded the car in for a CTS-V Coupe. He informed me that the switch is/was for, as Dronski47 suggested, an iPod adapter. Apparently the dealership removed the adapter and wiring, but left the switch installed. Well, this concludes the mystery round of the show. Thanks to all that tuned in!
