Burning Brakes
I really want to do HIDs in my fogs but am concerned with the wiring with my S/C, anyone with a S/C that can provide input (ECS SC600 kit) on how the install may work with all the 'clutter'?

I installed the kit today. It was very straight-forward.
WOW, what a difference! This kit is a lot whiter than the halogens! And... the package for the inverter and ballast is very small.
One word about connecting the vehicle harness. In the instructions, it suggests you test the wiring (red and black) wires in the kit that connect to the vehicle harness (always a good suggestion). If it helps at all (in my Vette), the dark brown wire was (-) and the purple wire was (+).
I love it!

i am interested in this kit/mod, but i have a friend with an impala that did 3rd party HID (headlights, and i realize this isnt your kit, so apples/oranges), but i wanted to ask how suspeptible to shock and moisture are the ballasts? he had his kit professionally installed, and yet every time he wants to turn on the lights he has to open the hood and tap his ballasts until they turn on.
again i realize not your kit, but my friends kit is the only point of reference i have as far as "how HID upgrades went". can you give some info or insight as to how my experience might be with such an upgrade?
thanks!

Here's three pics taken at different angles.
And to the previous post... I can vouche for the OP. The units are sealed with epoxy, the wires going into connectors are strain reliefed and sealed. The wiring is definitely first-class!
