Any pics of NON centennial 2012 cars?
Thank you in advance. Would like to see pics of new (non black) Z06/ZR1 wheels on cars etc so I can see the entire car and not just close ups of wheels etc
Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance!

Nope. I'm overwhelmed by the underwhelming amount of info and pics coming out of this years Bash! Doesn't seem to be the excitement of the past. Maybe that speaks to what was offered at the Bash or the mood of the attendees.

New seats, new wheels, new steering wheel, all nice imporvements. The new carbon whatever looks good in the pics i have seen. The lack of the new blue at the bash is...strange.
Maybe they have gone back to the drawing board on that one? Anyway, i guess im a bit underwhelmed at this point. Still cautiously optimistic though.
Also, a funny thing happened earlier when i was outside, i saw a large semi-truck out on the Expressway behind my house loaded with corvettes. Before i could grab my phone and snap pictures it was gone. But, this reminded me how much i love these damn cars. They can even paint them ugly colors and i will love them.
That is all

2021 C6 of the Year Finalist - Modified
Other than that Centennial car, there really isn't much to take photos of.
I really like those new ZR1 wheels we saw a photo of, but other than that, what's new and exciting to see? .... Basically the same car as the 2011.

Beggers can't be chosers...and we do not have a right to info from those who attended; their party, their time.
But saying that...dang guys--you who went, what's up?
Ok the 100 anni car is out, wasn't a real big secret...how does that black, with all those metal flacks, really look in DIFFERENT lighting conditions (morning, noon, night).....dirty as suspected or does it "pop"? Why did GM drop regular black? Obvioulsy they want to stress the black anniversary package and the extra profit it will generate but it would be nice to hear the BS excuse answer GM comes up wiith.
As for the Carlisle Blue I wasn't expecting it to show....GM wants to highlight the 100th Anniv car.....that is the one they want to sell. I also suspect the Carlisle Vette will premiere in Carlisle with the new movie showing next week...... BUT still couldn't someone have asked Tag or Harlan and gotten a solid answer...even a dodging dance around it answer would have told us a lot. GM DOES NOT announce colors without extensive testing..so GM does have Vettes already painted in Carlisle Blue. So why didn't it show up?
What of the Jake concept--what parts, if any, is GM putting into production and when?
Is there a Geniune Corvette Accessories display out....pics? Are they showing off the Grand Sport specific items...we know from CyberGSdude that the GM GS floor mats are now available..any word from GM on the GS specific trunk mat, center console, hood blacket, etc....
Seat logos...with the new 2012 seats....flag logos available, standard????? I presume with the new seats the "Jake" logo seat covers that were shown at SEMA will not be produced...anyone ask?
Any word on "colored" Grand Sport gill logos??????
I think for 2012 we need to take up a collection $$ and pay someone a hudnred or two to ASK some specific pre-determined questions...not bizare stuff...but stuff that should be discoverable....

Actually, there was quite a lot of valuable stuff at this year's bash. I took quite a few pictures but haven't yet had a chance to go through them, upload them, and incorporate them into posts on the forum; I'm sorry that it's taking so long but I haven't spent much time in the hotel room. Be assured that I'll provide a full report here (complete with a lot of pics) as soon as I can.
In the meantime, to answer a few specifics:
In the meantime, to answer a few specifics:
- The Carbon Flash (metallic black) REALLY pops in the sun. It has a definite metal flake look to it. In less bright light, of course, the metallic effect diminishes like it would with any other metallic color.
- Harlan Charles was very specific in saying that Carbon Flash will be a one year color. "Regular" black will return in 2013. I suspect that the reason for regular black's temporary hiatus is a simple matter of paint shop capacity. There's a finite number of colors that can be offered.
- I didn't think to ask about embroidery on the new seats - sorry.
- New for 2012, black Grand Sport emblems (to replace the chrome ones) can be ordered straight off the option sheet.
- I listened to the new Bose system in a convertible with the top down. It sounded MUCH better than the previous Bose.
- The "new" steering wheel isn't really too different from the "old" one. The chrome trim is OK and the model-specific center caps are nice touches.
- The new Z06 wheels are KILLER.
- The new seats look fantastic, so much so that when I saw them I was sure that they'd be an extra-cost option. They're not, though. I wasn't able to sit in them as they weren't actually installed in cars (except for one). All production 2012s will have the new seats.

That looks better than mine with those cup wheels!
