stock Z06 or E-force LS3
Here we go, lol. I will have about $12k for my next car which I want a corvette. My car now is a 600 rwhp 03 Cobra an want to upgrade. I dont want my payment to be more that $600 a month soooooo. Should I put down 4k on a nice used LS2-LS3 an buy a E-Force or put it all down an sport a stock Z06. I swear I aint trolling I know i can get more hp out of a supercharged LS2/3 but a Z06 is such a freaking awesome car. I am limited cause of kids an wifey an have to live in my means.

Actually I dont want a convertible an really dont even want a removable roof. I have had several T top cars and dont care for them. Living in California kinda limits my modification options. It has to be YELLOW.

A zo6 is a great car but for the street there is NO and i mean NO difference between the ls3 vette except for the extra 65hp and torque the zo6 is making. Get a z51 vette and get a procharger. The eforce cant even compare. Procharger is better in every way.
Not to bash the z06 but theres a video on youtube comparing zr1 vs z06 vs z51 ls3 on the track by a professional driver. The z06 got the worst review with zr1 being first and z51 taking 2nd. Z06 got a harsh 3rd place review.
Bottom line get an ls3 c6 z51 or grandsport c6 and procharge it. Z06 and zr1 will be rear view specs.

Well, I can help you out. Had both. 1st, 2007 VY LS2 A6, headers, cam, A & A Vortech, installed and tuned by Doug Rippie. 550 rwhp. Great car, burn the tires any time any place. Added Z06 sway bars and Bridgestone RE11 rubber. Had several runs against my friends 09 stock Z, and it was close. I had lots of HP, he had traction and torque. Can tell you lot so HP and the A6 didn't work well, at all. The most common comment I ever had on this car was: is that a Z06?
Now, 2007 Z06, with only Borla exhaust and CAI. Without question, I would take the Z any time any day. The wide fenders, the look, the aluminum frame, the handling, the feel of the car. And it is just a superior car! And it is fast. Run to red line in the first three gears and you will SMILE! And whenever someone asks me, is that a Z06? I tell them, you can bet your *** it is!
And resale, the Z holds its value, really well. Both our great choices, so go ahead and have some fun:

I also had an '04 Cobra (Whipple blown w/ 604rwhp) and let me say that either way you will be happy! I also was torn between a Z06 or modifying a base Vette, and I chose the second option. I can't speak to the Z06 as I have never driven one. But I can tell you that my C6 w/ a blower, rear widebody, coilovers, etc. destroys a Z06 in a straight line and the coilovers drastically improve the handling. Personally, I have always preferred aftermarket modifications to tailor a car to my personal taste and create something unique. Many will disagree with this and prefer the reliability and warranty of a factory-tuned car. But personally, I couldn't be happier with my decision. At a minimum, a blown LS2/LS3 will put a hurting on a stock Z06. Add an inexpensive meth kit and turn up the boost and it's a whole new ballgame. I am in no way disparaging a Z06; from the factory they are superior machines and the aluminum frame is a feature that no amount of modifications will get you. But the LS3 is an extremely strong platform to start modifying and this is the option I would suggest.
