My 2007 is 100% stock except for the addition of a 2008 x-pipe. Not only did it change the sound at both idle and while driving but there was a small seat of the pants difference above 5000rpm.
When you take the time to understand how a x-pipe (real one not one where the pipes merge) it's clear that they have some advantages versus a h-pipe. One of the biggest being that the exhaust flow is scavenged better because the x cannot be bypassed. With an h-pipe after a certain pressure/rpm the crosover isn't doing anything.

I went to the local exhaust shop, and they made a X pipe for me in about an hour. The cost....$90...installed.

I major in civil law and just to let you know that he breached the contact by not fulfilling to ship the specified goods. Assuming that he advertised the product as an H pipe not an X pipe. Not saying that it's worth all the hassle of court, but you could contact him to scare him and say you would sue for remedies. He might refund you.

I'm not real sure what you've got or what you need, but I have an OEM Chevrolet Corvette C6 X-pipe from 2008. Fits 2005 to 2008. Part number 25788211. At one point you used the term ZO6, which is 3" OD, but the true x-pipe I have is for the base 2.5" OD. As for price? I'd prefer $125 shipped. Shipping is $50, alone. I'll send photos if 2.5" is what you need.
Sorry folks...I just now noticed a reincarnated OLD OLD post.

bringing this back again..
I have AR 1 7/8 headers, 3in H pipe, Vibrant 12 in resonators..
It is very deep and tone.. I am thinking of going to a 3 inch X pipe or just 3 in Straight no X or H.. Opinions?

i guess i'm weird
I guess i'm weird. The X pipe did the exact thing that all of you said it would do and consequently, I put my H Pipe back on. I did not like the smoother sound.
