This happened to me over the weekend, well I noticed it yesterday at a fuel stop coming back from Dallas. Hopefully the dealer has the clips and I can knock this out over the holiday.

Since I wanted to save this thread some years ago, I made a PDF DIY so the pics would not be lost.
Hopefully, some members can use, save it if need be.

I added another PDF, so you may want to look at that one as well.

A quick question... Your parts bag shows 4 each? Is that correct?

Yes, but you can get as many or as little as you want from the dealer, if they will sell you them separately.
You can also get them from clipsandfasteners.com in a package of 10.

Those are great DIY's and pics, now I can throw away the 30-odd pages of "Bumper Clip Discussion" I've printed out over the years.

Thanks, and Merry Christmas!

I'm having the same issue on 2013. Thanks to all of you for the great information. I just ordered the parts and hope to get this fixed. Heading out of town this week for a long road trip, so this will be on top of my to-do list when I get back (hopefully parts will all be here by then!) This forum really is the best!!

When I bought my C6 last December, I had the same issue. But I think mine was related to the previous owner "crashing" the nose into dips and such. The lower radiator support was cracked and bent. I replaced the lower support, but the plastic clips kept popping out. So I did a more permanent fix - I drilled 2 holes through both nose and fender contacting surfaces, doubled up some safety wire, pulled it together, and secured it to the nearest fender screw on top. The wire is under the panels, so not visible. I sacrificed removability, but the 2 are together... forever.

"Rednecked"? Sure, but I don't care. No worries now.

I really struggled but did manage to PULL UP and dislodge the bumper cover
from that black piece with tab.......with breaking anything.

How do I know my repainted bumper cover will fit back together correctly
if I use the original black clip pieces (above pics)

Anybody reading this with multiple experiences doing this ?????

HOW do you remove the 1329 Larger Clip from Fender ????

Anybody replaced the Thin Black Rubber Weatherstrip across
back of Bumper Cover.......
Does a new one come with the double faced adhesive already
attached to it ???
