I installed the HID fog light kit as well. Very easy to install, no need to remove the tires, (but it makes it that much easier to access). I tested them out last night, and all I can say is wow, I thought the HID headlights alone were awesome, but wow! The added safety is well worth it, and you can actually see the street signs, road markers, from a mile away.

i read the instructions cause i think my wife ordered these for me for xmas.
i dont understand why the velcro or double sided tape wouldnt be included and does the owner really have to figure out the wiring before connecting it?
I thought this was a "plug and play" kit?

It does come with double sided tape, and you only need to determine the positive and negative if you use the optional extensions. Plug and play means you don't modify the car to use the kit. That is true of this product.

And when would you need to use the optional extension?

Can I assume that there is not a heat build up problem? Or current draw problem?

They run at the same operating temps. No issues at all

BTW, I'm really liking the extra light from the fog lights, too. My morning commute is in the dark and I like the visibility.

Any reason I can't use them all the time? Do they have a long expected lifetime?

Never mind, just saw the lifetime warranty note on your web page. I'll be using them a lot!

I am waiting for a response on me question to the Covette Mod folks. I just connected my HID fog light and no success. I double checked all connections but no lights. Anyone else experience this. I know its hard to screw up a plug in but Murphy's law is written across my foerhead' It it can go wrong it will.

Have you tried reversing the polarity? Did the trick for me.

Yes, Neal from Corvette Mod said to do so and they work just fine now. I thank Neal for the speedy help. Want to put the car back together before the cold air returns. The 58 today was a welcome treat.
