I try and try, never looks like I thought they would. Setting seem to play a big part of the photo also eh. Old abandoned buildings seem to be a hot back ground, or just commercial spots where there are no other cars also
Good job

Is it true that the best time is early morning or late afternoon ??

Usually the best days would be cloudy days. The clouds add as a light diffuser causing the light to be softer on the photo.
Old abandon building offers shade which allows for better lighting on the car.
My advice would be wait until 20-30 minutes before the sun goes down and then photography your car. Make sure the sun is behind you or to the side of you.

Early in the morning or towards the evening when the sun is about to go down. Afternoon photos are pretty bad because the cast harsh shadows.

I was pulled over helping out a friend involved in an accident so no I wasn't in any trouble...either way looks like I did something bad
Gotta love the subtle inter-cooler visible in the grill
