I'm still debating whether or not to do headers. I hear they make the pipes sound so much better. Plus the fact the car runs better and adds a little more zoom- zoom to it.

- Open headers definitely add horses, maybe 5-10%
- The extra horses are mostly at mid to high RPM
- Running through mufflers, and with most street driving, there is probably little noticeable power difference than stock exhaust . . .
HOWEVER:
- It will feel faster because it's louder.
On a different note: I was talking to the owner of a small company that I do work for today (he is NOT a car-guy) and he thought my '07 was new when I bought it two years ago.
We both know another guy that bought a new 2016 recently, and the above ^ guy said he liked the looks of mine better.

Friend was over yesterday with his newly purchased "Carlisle Blue" GS, It looks very good in the sunlight, nothing "girly" I saw. And when he left going up the street it sounded "awesome" with the NPP open.
I don't know why guys spend all that dough on after market muffler systems when they NPP sounds terrific, oh well to each his own. Now if you don't have the option to open it up then yes its way too quiet

Unless the basics have changed in the past 4-5 decades, going from memory:

I hear it's more than a "little" noticeable difference. Some have stated the headers sound great and gives it that extra oomph after install on their cars. And without changing out my NPP'S that is exactly what I'm looking for.

This sensation also works if one un-silences the air intake (which often can actually make it perform worse if it runs too lean).
This holds true for old lot cars, ancient "old man" sedans, home-made go karts with lawnmower engines, motorcycles, etc., and (I'm assuming) any modern car.
Oh well, that stuff is all long ago behind me. I rather enjoy, what is to me, a world-class luxury car that is fast and looks sexy as hell.
Carry on . . .

I love winding out 1st into second ... and then when I want to be sensible, which is not often, I close the pipes

I was thinking of working a deal out with Bruze, my vitesse t/c for a set of headers. One day not too far down the road I will have headers and a tune done. Just have to decide who I'll have do the work. As far as the NPP, mine are always open. I don't know why I wasted money on the damn m/w switch.
