Lowered on stock bolts

Another option is to cut your factory bushings using a PVC pipe cutter.
I cut the OEM bushings on my car before switching to coilovers, and they held up fine. I have heard complaints about the longevity of aftermarket lowering bolts, so I'm not sure which would be the best option.

Maybe a little waterproof grease to reduce abrasion and stop any potential squeaks that may come up.

Jack up a corner of the car and remove the wheel. Then you will have to jack up the spring to take the weight off the A-arm. Place a jack (a bottle jack is best, but any jack will work) on the end of the spring as close to the A-arm as possible. Place upward pressure on the spring until the bushing on the lowering bolt is only making very light contact with the A-arm. Then loop your PCV cable cutter around the ridge in the bushing, and begin sawing back and forth until the bottom of the bushing is cut off. Adjust the bolt to the desired height, place some grease on the bottom of the bushing, and lower the spring back down onto the A-arm. Move to next corner and repeat.

Melting Slicks
That is what I was thinking. My driveway is flat to the road but my stock height C6 scrapes way too often. Even leaving the Corvette Club meeting the air dam scrapes. You better live in the right part of the country to lower one.
