A rocking seat under braking or acceleration may be common but it sure as hell isn't normal. Complain and have them replace the "adjustor" (Part #88898558) At list it's a $544 part. I just had mine replaced under warranty and it fixed the problem. Tell you consider it a safety issue and that may get their attention.

They replaced the adjuster a few months back and it began rocking again... Took it by the dealer and they are ordering a new adjuster for me (again).
Hopefully this new one is a fix.
my last C6 didn't rock at all for the 2 years I owned her.

My adjuster was replaced a month ago. It appears the rock is gone ,but my rocking was intermittent to begin with. Don,t know if I am in a quiet period. Car is put away for winter. See what happens in the spring

beav626,
I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulties with your adjusters. Let us know how the new ones work out.

Question is, when is GM going to get this problem fixed. 1997-2012 is a long run for a shotty part.

I have a rocking seat issue with my 2011. If the seat bottom is adjusted more down positon it rocks less. Tilt more up and it rocks more. Seems to be in a hinge point on the seat

With the addition of the JW seat kit I just put the seat all the way down, stops the rocking and the seat kit fills in the collapse of the seat cushion usually found in this low position.

Glad to see this thread, and that I'm not the only one with this issue. Need to get mine to the dealer here, and have them look at it, needs an oil change anyway, so might as well have the seat checked out while it's there. Mine is an '05, that I bought 2 years ago, almost to the day, and it has done it since I've owned it.

My 2008 does it. Seat rail already replaced by dealer, so they said. Still rocks. I guess I'll add it to the other annoyances that drive me nuts about my "dream car". Id turn up the stereo to drown out the clutch pedal squeeking and something rattling in thre rear view mirror if the stereo didn't rattle pieces of the driver's door panel.
