Post a Vette OCD ....

Cleanliness.
I won't go anywhere with my 'vette, unless it's pristine clean.
If that means washing it once or twice I week, that's no problem.
A dirty Corvette, might as well be a Toyota econobox as far as I'm concerned.

Hameister, that's pretty much me as well. I have been washing it once or twice a week, and if it's just got a light coat of dust on it, well it may as well be covered in mud because I have to wash it again. There is a lot of construction going on around me and it gets dirty quick.
I had washed the car on Monday, and it sat until Thursday. When I took my kid to school Thursday I drove through water where something had busted and flooded a street. I tried to slow down for it, but of course the cars next to me kept going through and end result was a little bit of water on the car. My dad was coming in town the next day and had not seen the car yet, so of course Friday morning I had to completely detail the car again even though to most people it looked fine.

Overall cleanliness but dirty tail pipes send me over the edge, those Corsa's have to be sparkling.
P.S. I have cleaned the tire walls on occasion with a toothbrush!

I drive mine in everything but snow/salt conditions. It all started when I picked it up and drove it home brand new from the dealership in a downpour. I've even driven it on gravel roads.
The way I figger, my GS vert still looks better dirty than 99% of the other cars on the road, clean or not. I promise I'll wash it before I put it away for the hard winter months.

I drive mine every day, its gets dirty, it gets water spots, its got nicks and small chips in the paint, you name it, it has it because of use. However, the engine is immaculate and perfectly maintained, something about a dirty engine just bothers me a lot more than a dirty exterior. PS. I have severe engine CDO.... for those that get it

I try to keep my car clean always. But it is a daily driver so it does get dirty everyday.
My OCD is climate control and radio are turned off before eng is shut down. Don't ask me why but I have always done this with my Vettes.

I won't take mine out if it is dirty either. If it is truly dirty it gets a full bath. If only dusty, I break out teh waterless wash followed by detail spray. The tail pipes have to be clean and shiny also.
I will take the wheels off every month or so and clean the wheel wells and suspension. That drives my wife crazy. She asks me who will see that, and I say no one, but I know it is clean.

Mine has seen water three times in the two years I have owned it. The first time was the day I picked it up in KC and drove it home in the snow and slush. The second was at Eureka Springs last year and the third was this year on the way to the show in Rogers AR. That day there was no chance for rain and I had just spent 6 hours polishing and waxing. Wouldnt you know there was one cloud in the sky and it poured on me. The normal routine is to detail spray it after each drive and put the cover back on till next time.

I have used a toothbrush but on the inside in small cracks or places the rag just won't reach, sometimes there is a piece of lint or something like that. I also have used a toothbrush on the window felt
I drive mine almost every day when I'm home but I get up at 5:00 and detail it before I drive it for the day, I did skip one day but I didn't drive I ether

Throw away toothbrush & get yourself a soft brissel paint brush!! You will love it.

Living in upstate NY it is impossible not to get cow droppings on the car. Rather unsightly and almost as difficult as getting tar to get off. Only road salt stops me from using my vette however.
