15" wide iron-on Corvette logo embroidered patch
I have an satin stretch indoor car cover that does not have any logos embroidered on it.
I was thinking of getting a Covette embroidered logo and have it sewn on the front of the car cover.
Well, on Ebay I found a guy that is selling a large 15" wide Corvette logo "iron-on" patch that might work well (it don't have to be sewn on since it's of the "iron-on" variety). I think the 15" patch would be a good size for the front of a car cover.
In fact, you get 2 patches ... One is 15" wide, and the other one is 6" wide. Buy-Now price is $34.99. It says free shipping, but then it's says $2.99 shipping in the auction (so I am not sure what's going on with that).
I don't think I am alowed to put a link to the Ebay ad on this forum, but you can search Ebay Motors for "Corvette Iron-On Patch" and you will see it.
Just wondering if anyone has tried to put an "iron-on" patch on one of these satin stretch type car covers?
Good idea ... Bad idea ?

If the cover stretches and the patch doesn't it would sound like you would have to stretch the cover to the same taughtness (is that a word) as if it were on the car and then iron it on. The problem would be when you take the cover off and the cover is not stretched what would happen to the emblem? I don't think it would last long. Does that make sense?

Well, the car cover fits a little tight, but really not so tight that it actually "stretches".
It may stretch a fraction throughout it's overall length, but over an area of only 15" (the width of the patch) ... I doubt there is any measurable stretch at all.
Here is a photo of the front of my car where the patch would be placed in the area of the air inlet scoop on the front of the hood.
Hey ... I am not trying to sell anyone on this idea. Just thought i would throw this out and see if anyone thinks this iron-on patch might work on the car cover (lots of covers do have a logo of some type embroidered on them).

I don't have sewing machine ... Maybe take it to a tailor shop of some kind?
I just vaguely remember some kind of a iron-on patch or something that my mother put on something years and years ago, and was amazed of how well it stuck.
Of course, if the iron is too hot, it can melt a hole in synthetic cloth.
My car cover comes with a matching bag made from the same material as the cover. Wiith this 15" patch comes a smaller 6" matching patch. I guess I could attempt to put the 6" patch on the bag ... If that works well, then put the 15" patch on the car cover.

I applied one of these iron-on patches several years ago and it still looks great.
I staked my cover to a carpeted/padded floor with pins stretching it to the correct dimensions, positioned the patch, covered it with a thin dish towel, and ironed it on. Be sure to let it cool long enough for the adhesive to set.

Did you bought them from http://www.irononpatches.info website?
I'm pretty sure I saw auto designs from their products.
I also saw similar design from Etsy and Michael's.
I'm searching for a site that offers free shipping.

Duke ....
You have certainly dug up a very old thread ...
But, your in luck ... I am still here, and I still have the car cover with the Corvette patch ironed on it.
The side mirrors looks like pointed pigs ears with this cover on.
This is an old photo of my 2011 GS, but the car (and the car cover) still looks the same:
