Update on gas smell problem
Took my car to Vandergriff Chevy in Arlington Tx this morning to have a gas smell problem checked out.
Was told by service writer that it might be covered under warranty or might not be. Was also told that they might not be able to look at it today.
Just got a call from Bill (SW) telling me the problem is either the pump or the tank but they wont know till they drop the tanks.
Great news is that it will be covered under warranty either way.
They pulled my car in faster than it should have been due to the danger of the gas smell. Not sure if they will finish it today or when....depends on if parts are avail.
Bill also commented on how everyone liked my airbrush work under the hood and that he might need to shut the hood so the techs would get back to work.

Well the problem turned out to be a leaky fuel pump. Vandergriff Chevy replaced the fuel pump under the 100,000 mile drive train warranty. Also fixed a leaky exhaust pipe when they dropped the mufflers to remove the tanks.
Vandergriff did a great job fixing my car and the service was great also. They kept me informed on what they found and when it would be fixed. Took a while cause I dropped it off on Friday and they could not work on it till Monday. Then they had to order a fuel pump from Mich. They had it Fed Exed over night and my car was ready by 3 pm Tue.
