Battery tenders are good But your car shouldn't die in 2 weeks get it checked out at the dealer thats whats your warranted for.

Default How long will a battery last if it's on a tender?

I started mine on a tender about a year into ownership. The battery has never needed a jump. Mine's an A6 '06. How much longer can I expect the battery to last?

I don't know for sure but my guess is because it resulted in many drained batteries and pi$$ed off people so they changed the design. Also there was a programing problem that year that when even in reverse the battery would drain. They came up with a reflash for the computer for that problem.

Like "cape" says, once a batteries been run down to total zero, it's usually a goner, and probably why your car wont even make it two weeks sitting. These cars have lot's of electronics that slowly discharge the battery when sitting idle. Sounds like your car's still within the original 36mo/36K mi warranty, so have the dealer check it, as you may be getting a free Delco Pro. Also some mention earlier of an 06' with the original battery. Just replace it for $100 buck's, as not worth the trouble. I'm also a big Ctek 3300 fan, as have two rotating around on all kinds of stuff here.

It's the stupid FOB system that drains the batt, again, I'd rather have a normal key, but that's MHO. And if you wired the M2W switch wrong that will drain it, like a boss ...

I have left mine for a month and no problem. You have something that is drawing power when it should not be or something is left on.

You may have 2 problems:

1) You may not be driving it enough to fully charge the battery, when you do drive it, so you should keep a charger on it.
2) As someone said above, once a lead-acid battery goes dead once, it's essentially shot. Replace it.

I have left mine as long as 3 weeks (once) with no issues, but it's my daily driver so it's always well charged.

The C6 (and all other modern cars) have lots of little embedded computers in them that never turn completely off, they only enter a low-power "sleep" mode where they draw very little current. However, because they do draw current, a C6 can only sit for about 3-4 weeks - and that's only if the battery was fully charged prior to parking it. If the battery was not fully charged, or the battery is weak, then you can expect even less time. This is normal behavior and does not indicate anything is wrong with your car (except for the weak battery case, of course).

As the other posters have said, a battery tender is a must-have if your C6 is even a partial a garage queen.

Common, thats BS! its a 2010 model. no excuse for that!

I have an 06 and it sat for more than two months without being touched and fired right up. Battery was replaced right before I purchased the car in october of last year.

Take the car or the battery to your dealer and have them put it on their tester. If it Fails they will give you a new Delco at no charge.
I had to have a new Delco for my '09 less than year ago. I took the original in and it Failed. No charge to me, warranty.

Ask the dealer or use a multimeter to check your cars milli-amp draw. Our car pulls 18-20 Ma as an example. To much draw and it will drain your battery quick. Good luck.

According to GM the Corvette's computer system does a complete diagnostic every 9 minutes. The diagnostic takes 1 minute to run through the entire cycle. This is essentially like turning the key to accessory mode every time it runs a cycle. After two weeks of doing this without the alternator charging the battery you will get DBS.

No problems here with 2010 GS. I use tender for winter storage only.

Put 100 miles on it every weekend; put time on calendar early AM or 1 hr for quiet cruise at dusk both days.

It will do wonders for your car & life.

It's just pist at you for not driving it for a couple of weeks. Take her for a spin a little more often, and it will behave.
