Default Smudging/streaking of the inner drivers window

Does anyone know the name or part number of the pad/guide/device that holds pressure on the window from inside and eventually wears out, streaking the inner window with the adhesive on the pad?

Do you mean the Channel-Felt/Rubber seal that the glass slides up and down on top of the door panel?
If so, then:

2005-2013 C6 Corvette Door Inner Window Weather Strip Left/Right OEM 10306049

If not, then a pic sure would help.
Hope it helps you find what your looking for.

Actually no. The pads attach to the inner upper lip of the door metal frame. Each is on a threaded post, are fasted with a bold that is approached from the inside of the door, and there are two. They push out against the window glass help position the glass within the door. I guess I am just goin to have to tear the door apart to get at them and go back to the dealer. Their parts guy didn't have a clue.

Oh OK. I've looked at every part diagram for the doors, components, glass, etc, and it doesn't show any pads that attach to the inner door skin.
I've replaced my regulators, and I don't remember seeing those.I had the felt track out and glass out of both doors as well.
Maybe I just didn't notice them, but I know what your talking about.
Pretty much every older vehicle has them. (window guide brackets)
They have a soft velour covering that touches the glass to keep it tight.
If they do have those, you could probably just remove the old covering and get new ones that have 3M tape on the back.
The soft part of Velcro tape would probably work.

Hopefully, your Parts guy can find the part for you

Good Luck

Same exact issue appeared a couple of years ago. I would remove the window streaks with Rainex every once in awhile. Eventually the streaking stopped. Who knows, maybe the Rainex, over time, provided a coating over whatever part was causing the problem.
