Maybe in the ashtray or leave it out completely?
You dont need it, since you can get 100% replication of the 9500ci display in the DIC and/or HUD.

hey guys, i been meaning to post on this thread, i got the dashtronix for my Ci9500 a few months ago.
i have to say it does work quite well. more importantly i wanted to speak on behalf of this vendor, i also ordered the splitter so i could still have an open obd2 port.
when i installed the splitter i could not start the car! without it i was fine. i contacted dashtronix and they sent me a new one free of charge as it was determined to be defective.
they were very concerned that i was happy with my purchase and went out of their way to make it right.
i have not installed the new splitter as of yet but i assume it will work when i install it.
the only gripe i have about the setup is in the HUD it gets confusing because it looks a little like navigation instructions and i have navigation running at the same time it will display part nab instructions and part radar info. i have also seen it cause the hud to continue to display nav instructions when they shouldn't be there like it got stuck or something.
personally i plan to yank the factory POS nave soon anyway so this should be a non issue, or you can simply select not to display the info on the HUD
the DIC seems to be the best for me, but on a few occasions depending on what is displayed such as oil temp, if the radar is active and alerting, and the temp of my oil changes it will return the display to oil temp, ill still have the radar going in the speaker but no display unless the radar display changes state before it flips back.
but for the most part, if your looking for a cool trick concealed install it doesn't get any better than this. if you get an alert you have it right in front of you and it does exactly as advertised!
highly recommend this if you have the 9500ci! it really makes the car look and feel like it came from the factory this way.
the guys at dashtronix are very easy to deal with and i know they put a ton of R&D into this product and they deserve our support!
