explain to me how you get the messages in the DIC. is it just another menu that you cycle through? or does it replace some other item like the fuel economey as i saw flash past in the video? does it prevent any of the other DIC menus from being displayed?
also i understand you can toggle the displays with the lock button can you be a little more speciffic?

i assume the HUD stuff only showes up in street mode?

the expert meter display, thats just the selection made at the radar unit?

the OBD port does anyone make an adapter that allows this to be connected and still have the window valet module or other device to be plugged into the OBD port at the same time?

does it remember all your previous settings rom the last time you drove the car?

When you have chosen to have the RP display in the DIC, the messages output from the 9500ci will appear in the DIC.

The RP DIC display mode has never replaced anything in the DIC, it displays messages on the DIC when that display option is enabled on the RP. The DIC can be on any display such as engine oil temp or trip odometer. When the messages are received from the 9500ci, the RP will display them on the DIC. When the messages are over, the DIC displays as normal.

You choose where the RP displays by double pressing the lock button while the car is on.

You can have the:

1. 9500ci displayed in the DIC,
2. 9500ci displayed in the in HUD,
3. 9500ci in DIC and HUD at the same time,
4. or RP OFF no 9500ci display in HUD or DIC.

While the messages are being sent by the 9500ci they will appear in the DIC if it was chosen as the display mode, and when there are no messages the DIC will display normally.

Any of the cars alert messages in the DIC will still appear in the DIC after the radar messages are gone.

Expert mode is chosen on the 9500ci unit, it is one of the meter modes of the 9500ci.


The RP remembers where you have chosen to display the 9500ci so when you start the car the display will be in the same location.

The HUD only displays Radar Projector info in Street Mode.

We make a splitter cable so you can run the window valet and the Radar Projector at the same time. Its available when you order the unit.

That's to bad, it's one of the most popular detectors on the market. (Along with the V1) I know I'd love to have this for my 9500ix.

Well I just bit the bullet and and ordered one.Now to figure out where to remount my 9500ci display. Leave it where I installed it to start with (cut into radio bezel above hazard switch) Maybe in the ashtray or leave it out completely?
