red air bag light

I would reconsider. First the intermittent failure surely seems related to the infamous under seat connector. If tie wrapping the connector fixes it, it would be wise to spend the 5 mins to do that.
Something to consider - If the airbag light is on, the airbag will NOT deploy in an accident. The light is notice to the driver, the air bag will not function.

The 2007 Corvette is no longer covered, they ceased to be covered as of earlier this year.
With a safety issue like this I am not sure how this isn't a recall.

Just raise the driver's seat all the way up and forward. Look under the seat for the large connector. In your case, it might not be plugged in tightly. Get a large tie wrap. Secure the connection making sure the mating ends are fully seated. Place the tie wrap through the center of the connector assembly so that you are locking the connection with the tie wrap. Cut off the excess tie wrap (tail). Take another tie wrap and secure the connectors on a seat rail in a place where to can see the connectors won't be dragged along the carpet or pinched by the seat bottom. readjust the seat, done.

After trying many times, using tie wraps etc. I took it to the dealer and they fixed it. Many may not like the fix but he bypassed the connector and just soldered the wires together. I have no intentions of replacing my seat or removing it for any reason that I can think of.

If re-seating the connection does not work try a little dielectric grease. Also make sure there are no bent pins.

Hi. Just bought a 2006 Convertible and encountered the same thing. Freaked me out. Read these posts on the forum and tried some of the suggestions. Thing was, I set the auto memory on exit to on so the seat would move every time I exited the car, causing the yellow connectors to malfunction. I turned off the auto exit feature and pushed the connector together forcibly and voila! problem solved (temporarily I'm sure). I will tie wrap them together later to be sure this does not occur again. Wish me luck it stays that way.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for filling out your profile.
The tie wrap usually does the trick.

Airbag light
My airbag light is on and my horn doesn’t work...it worked for on and off for a while and when it worked the airbag light was off so I feel this has something to do with this...anyone else have the same issue? It’s annoying to see that on all the time.

Check below both seats, I had a mini water bottle under the passenger side seat causing the problem for the airbag light.

The tie wrap fix is pretty good. it secures the connectors under the seats. I noticed it doesn't take much to affect the connection so sudden lurches like fast accelerations might affect these huge connectors.

I have a 2005 and occasionally see the air bag light. I use my memory seat so every time I shut the car off the seat slides all the way back and I assume this is causing the problem? Today I got bored to death and took the connector apart under the driver seat. Everything looked good so I put some dielectric grease on the pins, put it back together and zip tied it tightly together. My wiring clip (yellow one) was laying on the carpet under the seat so I am wondering if someone before me messed with this. I am the 2nd owner and it appears that the original owner always took it to a dealer for service. There is a metal clip on the connector that looks like it should clip it to the metal bar (rod) running under the seat. In looking all the way thru this thread I see where some of you have zip tied the connector together and then zip tied it to the bar, should I do that? I am going to try it the way it is now first, if that doesn't work I will check the passenger seat too and zip tie both sides tight and to the bar under the seat. My problem has been very intermittent and seems to have nothing to do with speed or driving style.
My car is way beyond 10 years old so this would not be free at a dealer???
Also a dealer is the last place I would take my 13 year old vette, I can only imagine the list of things they would find wrong with it, LOL

Old thread but updating with my experience..
Use TWO zip ties spread apart as far as possible, NOT a single down the center. This is for the big yellow problematic connector.
One side of the connector is actually two blocks not a single block so only one zip tie down the center
is sort of applying pressure on their edges and even putting some spreading pressure on them.
This is all after cleaning and dieletric grease.

I had the same issue. I looked underneath the seat and the connector looked fine. But I still used the tie down method and the warning light cleared and it has been cleared since then. Yes the design of that connector is "Mickey Mouse" and so is the "temporary fix" but it is the only solution for now that works. 😱
