I just bought my '08 2 days ago. Love it!

It came with the Borla (unsure if it is the Stinger) exhaust system. I have done some reading on it but would love for you experienced veterans to school me a bit.

I am hoping it is an acceptable system......

Borla is one of the top systems available.

Seemed like they were pretty renowned. Mine has the 2 large oval tips. Do the tips come in optional shapes?...like 4 round etc......not that it matters.

I've got the Stingers on my '05 and no complaints-they are a very good system.

If I remember correctly you could order oval or round tips. I don't remember seeing a 2 or 4 tip option, but that is not to say you can't.

Yeah the 2 big tips has me a little concerned. I mean it sounds awesome and runs awesome and gets great mileage - but do the tips indicate a misfit or a problem?

I've got Borla Stingers on my 08 Coupe.
Love 'em!
They have the perfect rumbling muscle car sound for the Corvette.

It seems the only ones I can find (see post 8) that have the 2 rectangular trips are for the earlier 6L C6s.....not the 6.2L.......sweat, sweat.

The links state 08, this is when they went to the ls3/6.2.

If you could show me a photo of the tip style, I'd be able to tell you exactly which system it is. Borla did have large rectangular oval tip systems available for the C6, both Stinger (sometimes referred to as Sport or S-Type) and Touring. Now they only offer the Quad Oval and Quad Round tips. Being that it's a dual tip, it's probably 140133, which uses the "rectangular" tips (they're rounded rectangles, and a lot of people call them oval). That would be the only stinger with dual tips, and isn't actually one Borla sells anymore.
If that's the case, there shouldn't be any fitment issues at all, and you should be set with a great sounding Borla S-Type/Stinger exhaust.

Either way, it's a Borla exhaust system, so you're good. They're one of the very best.
