Default Fitting NPP from 2009 to 2008

Greetings everyone - I have the opportunity to purchase NPP mufflers taken off of a 2009 vert to use on my 2008 vert.

Will '09 mufflers work on an '08?

TIA

Not a direct bolt-on/in. You could also change the x-pipe; then it should all bolt up. Or, I think I've heard that you could get a muffler shop to bend the '08 pipe to meet the '09 muffler, but I don't know much about that.

'09 and later will be a direct bolt in, '08 will have to be modified

It will bolt right up with the 09 x pipe...

I recently installed a '10 system on my '07 M6. It almost went on but the passenger side had to be bent about a 1/4 inch. Other than that it works fine. You will love the sound. Especially with headers and xpipe.

The '09 NPP mufflers will work, all you need is an '09+ midpipe.

I am a little confused. DrEvil indicates that there is a slight bend needed but Divvi indicates that all I need is an '09 Xpipe.

DrEvil - Did you have a muffler shop install the mufflers?

I would try a want ad in the for sale section, usally people are putting the 08 npp pipes on 09 and later. Theres also a vendor or two here that deal with used parts, not sure on the names. Also you do not want Zo6 or ZR1 mids.
