Well, I guess I have been going thru a "mid life crisis" since I was 21 years old when I bought my first Vette. That was 44 years and nineteen Vettes ago. I feel that I am very fortunate to have driven a version of this great Car almost my whole driving life.

My teenage daughter (the Queen of Sarcasm) once laid the "mid-life crisis" tag on me after I bought the C6. I understand the meaning but I never bought into the "crisis" aspect. To me, a crisis implies some kind of expected undesirable outcome. The way I see there's nothing undesirable about owning a Corvette....at any age!
I just smiled, agreed with her and said yes I'm in crisis mode...and loving it.

Every day of your life that you don't enjoy to the fullest is a day of your life that you will never have back. When you are driving the Corvette no one can get the smile off your face. Remember there are only two kinds of people. Those who drive Corvette and those who wish they could.

Correction, it's MEAN-o-pause.
And my wife will admit that what it was....So glad that's over.
I get that mid life crap too. But when I say I've been dealing with performance cars since I started to drive, they say "Oh re-living your youth" Give me a break.........

Funny. Someone at work told me I was having a mid-life crisis when I pulled up in my new Corvette Grand Sport (I'm 53). I told her that I went through all of that years ago, as this is my my 4th high performance sports car. For me, it's an old-age crisis...drive something you love before you die, lol.

I bought my first sports car in 1979, but it was not a Corvette. I have regretted it ever since. Finally got my corvette this year. Not a crisis, like someone else said, mid life course correction.

I started having my mid life crisis I guess when I was 17 and bought my first Vette. Now 25 Vettes and 50 years later it is still in full bloom with no intention of stopping it any time soon.

Well at 63 and 68 my wife and I just got our first corvette. If anybody out there is feeling old just get a vette, put the top down and take a drive. We feel like we are in our 20s again. Great anti aging medicine.

Curious, GM is talking about demographics of new Corvette buyers mostly being over 50? (so that they can make the C7 to attract younger buyers). Could this be true?, I see lot of young people driving newer vettes. I am 59 and this is my 3rd new vette, 79, 89 and 11 GS. Unless the price of the car comes down considerably, that probably wont happen. Even the first two were a financial stretch when I bought them (in Canada at overly inflated prices and exchange) but than love is blind.
