So ive been gathering parts to do a front end conversion on my base vette. I got a front bumper from a z06 and the parts and pieces to make it whole. put it all together yesterday and its actually not that bad. theres a little bit of flare right at the end of the bumper by the front fender and the ring of the stock fender doesnt continue to the bumper. and the super wide GS front tires stick out a tad widebody front fenders will fix that.

gives the car a whole new look and paired with the widebody rear and new GS wheels/tires its an entirely new car to me. future plans include widebody front fenders and exhaust. (for now)

That slight misalignment would drive me crazy. Does anyone make an aftermarket Z06 front for a base model that is good quality?

I thought about the SIC bumper, but couldnt get over the lower lip part. just didnt look quite right for my tastes.

You need to get GS, Z06, or ZR1 fenders. The fender gaps ruin the lines of the car. If you take your time, you can find good deals on used GM fenders on eBay.

that would drive me insane seeing that it does not line up.

Also, the bumper cover color looks darker than the rest of your car.

Car looks good - but I did see a post not long ago where the Z06 bumper was fitted on better - gonna have a look....

I've read through countless threads...has any aftermarket company made an actual Z06 replica bumper for the standard c6. The sic is the closest I've seen, but I agree with tonmarchelli, I can't get over the lower lip part of it.

I like it! I would just like to replace my base grille with the Z06 grille.

i think with some bodyshop work that gap can be fixed ?

i would put an additional bolt to that to make it blend in properly

can that be done ?
