Key FOB - glove box - missing part I think
Hello - quick question - been having issues with my key fobs lately - so I replaced the batterries and they worked fine briefly - now neither FOB works and the car is at the house. I opened the trunk got in the car - put the key fob buttons facing passenger side in the slot and the car will not recognize either FOB - now when I look into the slot, there is nothing there - just a metal on the side which looks like it just hold the fob there - is there an electrical connector that is missng there?

What does the car do when you press the start button? DIC say no fob dectected? Or is it totally dead? Could your car battery be dead or low volts?

Might have got some old batteries for the fob?
But sounds like some other problem, as the car should start with the fob in the slot even if the battery is dead.

Low or dead car battery produces strange error messages and results. Have the car battery checked. Probably needs to be replaced.

You don't even need a FOB battery to get the FOB to work in the slot. That is what the slot is for. If your FOB battery dies, the slot gives you a way to start the car and go get a FOB battery.
Probably the car battery going away.

3L337 C6,
This sounds like it actually might be an issue with the car battery. If you don't want to go to the dealership there's several things you can try. First, replace the FOB batteries. If you're still at a loss, try reprogramming them. It's a simple but time consuming process. If you're still having issues I'd recommend replacing the car battery. However, if you're still still under warranty I'd just take it to the dealership.
