Default Why didn't someone tell me?

Reading another thread about installing a nav., someone mentioned the nav. projected on the HUD.

I didn't know that, so tried it, and it does. Great!

I doubt I'll ever figure out all the features on this fabulous machine.

How do you put the navigation in "street" mode? Option button?

You put the hud in street mode, not the nav.

With a Dash Logic projector and a Valentine 1 you can display the radar detector information in the HUD also. Unit stays blacked out but all info shows on HUD. Very cool.

Having the turn directions show up on the HUD is about the only good thing I can say about the factory NAV. Don't know why they limited it to the street mode, I want my G meter too.

It is a nice feature.

I just discovered today that there is a shift up arrow that displays on the HUD when it's time to shift the trans, this after owning and driving the car daily for 3 years. I rarely ever run it up to red line, I guess..

So true, but you can get even more info here. This comes from someone who has read it up one side and down the other over the years.

Good job, forum!

God forbid anyone today would have to actually learn how to put a car through its paces without all the nannies.
