Default Renewed my brake calipers -Pics

I pulled my wheels off my car, along with the calipers and brackets and cleaned and repainted them. I used gloss black and silver high temp engine paint.

Excellent. Great job. Interesting that you left the brackets stock grey. Thanks for the pics. How about a shot on the car?

The brackets are Silver...it's hard to tell in the pictures they have been painted, but on the car they really stand out.

Will get some pic's on the car...raining here in GA till Thurs and will get some then when I take it out of the garage.

Thanks for the positive comments

Wow! You even relocated the calipers from back to front!
Does this help with improved braking performance??

Looks like professional job. Great work! How did you get the corvette sign redone so neatly in white?

First I painted the entire caliper gloss black and let it dry several hours. Make sure the paint is nice and dry or otherwise it will gum up as it's removed.

I used a two step process with my drimmel tool. First I used the wire wheel to take the initial coat of paint off the raised letters. It's best to do this after you have mounted the caliper back on car so it remains fixed in place while you lightly hit the raised letters

The next step was I used a drimmel finishing burr to remove any left over paint, resulting in a nice bright metal finish.

The "Corvette" letters are not painted and are brushed out like new, showing the silver metal from the caliper itself.

Looks good! Been thinking about painting mine red or blue. Imagine either would go with CRM.
