That is what I was thinking. Unfortunately some states really make it a big deal. I'd say at least half the cars in Ohio don't have front plates and I'm gonna run the risk too.
If I get caught I'd look at the brackets sold by a vendor on CF that mount inside the 'mouth' rather than straight onto the front end.

Im in NY where they require front plates. Since I bought the car in 06 it hasnt had one. My DD does but the Vettes nose is to good looking to muck up with one. Besides, my intercooler needs all the airflow it can get. Many C6's in the state dont have them either.

Same here in Texas. The front plate is required. I do not have one on my C6. I have been hassled for not having it but have not been cited because of it. If they do I guess I will pay the ticket. I am not putting a plate on.
This is my favorite one! It's got the black halo photoshopped onto another members car. This is what mine will look like when it comes back out in the spring.
